I keep forgetting to tell all of you that my Switch actually didn't die. The worthless ass stock charger died, and I plugged in a different charger cable, and it sprung to life. Well, it didn't spring to lie, it took like 5 hours to fully charge, and another 3 hours to fully update all the games, but here we are with a working Switch.

I made the dumb mistake of looking at a 4k, ray tracing, Fidelity mode video of Spider-Man: Miles Morales before the release tomorrow, and then I played a demo of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and I'm normally not a graphical snob, but my eyes hurt. Oh, the game is super fun, but my eyes noticed every issue with the frame rate and textures.

Today I learned a valuable lesson. Play or watch a ps5 game, wash my eyes with bleach, then watch or play a Switch game.

The bunny, Oreo Mcflurry, has been sexually assaulting our cat Beerus. The Bunny comes into our bedroom at night, finds Beerus when he's asleep, and gets on top of him, and well... you know. Scarlett and I are asleep, and then wake up to Beerus and Batman fighting and chasing the bunny all over the house.

Therefore, we're going to get the bunny neutered tomorrow, and hopefully that will stop the unwanted sexing from behind.

In gaming related news, Oreon bought an Xbox Series S, 299.99 (The Bluetooth Speaker) and then flipped it to some desperate person for 500 bucks. Now he plans to buy a,Series X for that 500, and flip it for a grand. I'll let you know how this all unfolds

Alex Trebek's last episode is going to air Christmas Day. Very fitting and very sad.

Also, I have a DVR. Bank Robber pays for Directv, and I get a DVR and free NFL Sunday Ticket. It's not a bad deal. He gets a place to stay, my house, and I get free satellite television and Internet. (He pays for that too.) So, I record the new Jeopardy episodes and watch them back to back.

I watch Jeopardy every day, and if I don't I let the episodes build up and watch them all over the weekend back to back. I've been doing this for years now, and he will be missed in my household, and hopefully in all of yours too.

Johnny Depp was fired/quit the Fantastic Beast franchise over sexual assault Allegation earlier today.

This whole situation with Amber Heard is ridiculous because; have you ever seen two co-dependent people who literally beat the **** out of each other because they don't know how to do anything else? One starts to get the other going, and you add some alcohol and some pills, and the relationship turns into a damn Prodigy video. (I'm a 90's music kid)

It's neither her fault or his. They just need to stay the hell away from one another. I'm not sure what more court cases and lawsuits will prove, but I don't see her losing her swank Aquaman job in all of this.

I was cleaning out the garage with Oreon yesterday, and we stumbled upon a "Trapmaster" Yu-Gi-Oh card. The bloody thing was sealed and graded, and had a value of ten bucks. Oreon is now going try to sell it because we don't play Yu-Gi-Oh. I use to play Magic, and his card game expertise begins and ends with Uno.

Taco Bell isn't very good anymore except for a few items. Their steak quesadilla is solid, and their cheesey gordita chrunch with extra sauce is good too. The rest of their menu is trash. (Why did they take away the beef and potato burrito?)

Not to sound too much like a food snob, but we have a local chain around here called "Taco Sombrero" that I can get real Mexican food from that taste a hell of a lot better than Diarrhea Smell. However, in a pinch at two in the morning this and Waffle House are the best choices, and if you just want to go straight home and crash, well this is your option.

I know everyone is upset over the news.. but it's going to be fine that Sony won't have any day one purchases and just pre-orders for the PS5. I was going to wait anyway as my house needs to be repaired first, but this just saves me a lot of running around next Thursday.

The insurance adjustor came and said that the damage to the house was worse than we all thought. (Yes) The roof needs replacing, the chimney, the siding, the inside fireplace and mantle, and the garage door. Overall, quite a bit of damage, and they're going to cut me a nice check. I'm going to call the contractors tomorrow to start to get estimates on fixing everything. Oh, I forgot about my fence too.

Got in a two hour long line this afternoon to get free supplies from MEMA and FEMA. We were able to get extra water, MRE's, and Tarps to cover the giant hole in the south side of my house. Thank goodness it was a cool day as te a.c. died in my wife's car, so when it rains it pours.

Overall, it could be worse because I need a need fireplace mantle, chimney, and roof from the storm. The insurance adjustor will be here Tuesday morning to get us the estimates, and then we have my wound care appointment, and then we have to vote. Then on Thursday we have to put the tarp up over the house until we can get it all fixed. It's going to be a long week and no video games because I'm too busy.

In some sort of miracle our power came back on an hour ago. My house is messed up, but I have power and wifi, and I plan on making a giant ass hamburger as a celebration for making it through another s***** ass hurricane .

I'm still alive, and my family and friends are safe after Hurricane Zeta last night. The chimney on my house fell down from the winds, and lots of siding and my roof are all severely damaged. It'll probably be early next week before we get power restored to our home, but again we're all alive.

I have already contacted the mortgage company and insurance company so they can send an adjuster out, and get the ball rolling on repairs.

It was honestly very scary for a few hours last night, but right now it's a pretty day, like nothing ever happened.

Overall, it wasn't as bad as Hurricane Katrina, but it wasn't a brush off either.

Let's do this for the 4th time. We are under another damn hurricane warning. My dialysis unit called to tell me to show up at 4am to run, and scarlet and I are going shopping after my wound care appointment tomorrow. Apparently the damn thing will be here Wednesday night early Thursday morning.

I'm not going to complain about global warming because that's just silly. (Rolls eyes) but we have dodged the other 3, but not this time. It won't be a direct hit, but it's so close we will still get the full force of this thing over the next 72 hours.

I wish I could I could convince the wife to move, but family and all that.

The Snyder Cut of Justice League is going to be trash. Everything from Man of Steel to Batman Vs Superman to Justice League was varying degrees of trash to absolute ****. The **** was Batman vs Superman as that film makes zero sense.

Man of Steel had some good ideas, like the engineering of Zod, but then the final act pisses on 60 plus years of comic and television history by having Pa Kent step into a tornado to teach teenage Clark a lesson about how terrible and close minded humans are, then snapping Zod's neck like a damn twig.

Those decisions were so dumb and out of character that I almost walked out of the theater. I was like, "what the hell did I just watch?" That's like, Spider-Man punching Doc Ock's head off and going to have a latte with MJ in the next scene, and she ask Peter how was his day, and he replies, "Let's just say this latte isn't the only thing de...caffinated."

Man of Steel was still better than Batman vs Superman because it only didn't make sense for 45 minutes. BVS was nearly 3 hours of stupidity. What the hell was Jesse Eisenberg doing? What was anyone doing, but especially him?

The Snyder cut of Justice League will be longer trash. I know I'm right on this one, and I have no hope for it being otherwise.

Nintendo is up to their Limited edition marketing **** again. This time with the original Fire Emblem. They're localizing the first ever Fire Emblem game for the Switch and releasing it digitally, but only for like 3 moths. They're not even going with a physical release thid time.

The only way to do a proper Gremlins 3 is to make it straight horror, which striking a balance between the horror elements of the original and the camp, but that tone is almost impossible to balance, and thus won't work.

The other option with Gremlins 3 is to just go insane. High concept crazy horror, camp, madcap, balls to the walls, Evil Dead inspired Raimi goodness. That won't happen either.

Therefore, don't reboot Gremlins and don't make a sequel. Just leave it alone. Leave Gremlins alone. The first is near perfect 80's nostalgia, and the sequel is a mockumentary of horror films. They're both perfect in their own way.

Twitch has sent out thousands of warnings to its streamers about the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and potential violations. Kind of crazy how, in one example, "The Super Metroid Home screen theme" violates the act. It's just kind of crazy, but I'm not a full time streamer so it doesn't effect me, but it's kind of a bummer.

This conversation happened last night with my wife and our 15 year old niece.

Me: Scarlett remember when Windows 95 came out? It was awesome.

Her: Oh God yes, and we didn't have any internet on the computers at first back then.

Niece: What did you do with a computer before it got on the internet?

Scarlett: Spreadsheets, word documents, excel, Minesweeper, Super Breakout.

Niece: Uncle Wave, I don't know what any of those things are. You guys are old and lame.

This was hours after I got excited about new pots and pans.

I'm descending into old age very quickly as instead of buying something cool or electric, I bought a set of copper infused pots and pans. Granted we needed them as some of our dishes were as old as I am. My mother, for some crazy reason, hated newer dishes. We would buy her some, and they would either go into the closet or she would give them away as gifts. My sister and sister in law both got pots and pans, but my wife got a vacuum.

But I remember making crack (yes the drug) with my dad in a few of the pots and pans I threw away last week. I had an interesting childhood. I learned how to use a scale from weighing baggies of weed. Helped in trigonometry, but not in calculus.

The hurricane dodged us again, and will destroy Louisiana again. Not sure what crossroads deal some Mississippi resident has made with the weather this year, but thank you, I guess.

Onee of my stalkers gifted me 500 bucks last night, and I used the money to buy the boss lady a new laptop. Her old one is on it's last legs, and now she has an early Christmas gift coming in a few weeks. (Stupid pandemic has killed the speed of her getting the computer.)

It's not a fancy gaming laptop, but it's got a SSD and a nice graphics card. Overall, it's a great value, and as long as my stalker doesn't find out where I live then I'm good.

There are rumors of the mini fridge (Xbox Series X) severely over heating. Only industry insiders, journalist, celebrities, and Twitch or YouTube influencers have the console, but it's such an interesting rumor that maybe it's possible.

People mocked how huge the PS5 is, but it's not overheating. I'm sure both consoles will get a mid generation upgrade and redesign so these issues will be resolved in a few years if they're true.

It's just ironic that a mini fridge is over heating.

I played Fortnite with my nieces today, and we won 3 games. I was horrible at the game, and barely knew what u was doing. After an hour or so I was able to learn the controls and kill a few people. Overall, I had fun because it's the first gaming I've done in a while, and I got to spend time with both of them.

However, it's not my cup of tea, and I'll play for fun, but not to actually get good at the game or anything.

There was some other big news that happened over the last 24 hours, but I'm not upset or sick about it at all. Bsck to Fortnite.

In a really strange movie Jamie Foxx is resuming his role of Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in the third Tom Holland Spider-Man film. (Which I will call, "Can't Go Home" after the events of Far From Home.)

How many topics and how long has this hangout been goin on? You have an official number?

I just did some quick math to come up with the topic title. The Dark Knight cane out in July 2008, that's 12 years. (Damn I feel old) I assumed 8 topics a year times twelve months, then I subtracted a few topics because I almost died in 2014, and I made up the number. Just made it up.

I felt the topic needed a number like the tree house of horror episodes or the superbowl, and thus the number.

I made it up. Like all things are made up.

My tummy wound has become stagnant in its healing. Therefore, I have a new thing inside of my damn stomach (Prisma) to help promote healing and skin growth. It feels like I have a tiny brick inside me, a tiny brick that freaking hurts. Therefore, my grand return to gaming is delayed a bit longer.

Which stinks because Oreon gifted me with a free sound bar and subwolfer. I turned on Final Fantasy VII Remake for a moment to let the music roar, and it sounds great, but Scarlett almost killed me because the bass was bumping so loudly. Overall, it was worth it knowing once I'm healed I have some more things to look forward to on gaming.

Three months ago I went from having two cats, Beerus and Batman, to now having two cats, a dog, a fish, and as of last night, a bunny. The bunny's name is Oreo Mcflurry Lemon, and he's super soft. Life us strange sometimes.

In geek news apparently Final Fantasy XVI has been in development for 4 years. Meaning the game is mostly done, and will be here near the end if 2021 or April 2022 by my guess. I hope it's a good game with a good story.

Gamestop opens at noon. (Crazy pandemic times) so the Gamestop is next to the grocery store, and we need to get fixings for Chilli. It's Mississippi fall (68 degrees at night) and the wife and I are making a big pot of Chilli and cornbread. (She likes hers with crackers.) Therefore, It's not a big stretch to wander over the Gamestop next door and try to get a pre-order.

Gamestop says that they will have more pre-orders for the PS5 tomorrow both in store and online. I have learned my lesson trying to get a console online because the scalpers and bots are just too fast. 4 times mow have I had a console in my cart, and it vanished before checkout, and I know my card number by heart.

Therefore, I'm going to the store early tomorrow and try to get a pre-order tomorrow. Will it go well? Probably not, but it's either this or wait out all night in front of Best Buy on a cold and Probably rainy Wednesday night to Thursday to get one.

It's her sister, Alex, that eventually comes out as a lesbian, and it wasn't a plot device as Supergirl is an alien and is supposed to be supportive of anyone. Alien yo Earth immigration becomes a huge part of the show from season 3 forward.

Sex, race, and gender doesn't matter if you're world is full of unlimited genders and races. With her sister being a lesbian, and her accepting that, it lead to her greater acceptance of all species, which was a huge plot point for season 4.

I get that being lectured about race, gender, and sexuality might not mean anything to some of you, but their representation might mean something to a boy or girl out there struggling with who they are. It's not for all of us, and it's not supposed to be.

I look at it two ways. One is that if it's not your cup of tea then move on, but let the people who like and enjoy it,enjoy it. Secondly, I would rather watch this than some reality show about spoiled brats with huge asses doing literally nothing or another singing or dancing show. Lesser of two evils.

As with any long running show some seasons are better than others, and Supergirl is the same way.

The first season is a mess, the second season is better, and the surprisingly the 4th season was head and shoulders better than anything they've done. Last season, the 5th, was a mess with covid playing a huge part in storylines not wrapping up, and now the show is ending. I've seen worse television, but Zeus, I know you won't like the show as it goes into SJW territory a lot towards the last two seasons.

Well now all the Mini Fridges and Bluetooth Speakers are gone.

Gamestop did a queue freeze on their websites to prevent scalpers from poaching all the systems, but scammers be scammers, and bots be bots, and now they're all gone.

I got Chinese food for lunch, sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice, and I read an article about menopause sent to me by the wife. She sent it to me to explain why she's been randomly angry at me over the last few months, and why her left breast randomly hurts.

So... all in all, a well rounded day.
